Wouldn't it be cool, instead of ignoring all of someone's qn's, if you could just ignore private qn's?

yeah! Good point. Some times parts of a public convo can be lost and quite confusing if all of a person'sQN's are ignored. JMO anyway.

see though, here's the thing. Lots of people, on this cite, not only want to ignore one's private qns, but also their public ones. They just have such problems with hearing what the user has to say, that they would honestly not care if they missed parts of a public quick note conversation. So, I think we will leave it the way it is. However, it could be a possibility, probably, to add in an option, to those who only want to ignore private quick notes from a person, and just leave the option to ignore all quick notes from a person too for those who will utilize it. We shall see what we can do...but, keep the ideas coming peoples!

Thanks for your views on this topic, seems like some people agree with me.

although for the record? i'm not one of them. as it happens i'm totally anti ignore altogether.

I think adding an "ignore private quicknotes" option to what is already here is reasonable. There are instances when I may want to get a user's private notes, but not her/his public ones.

Cheers,

i think the private qn thing is a cool idea too because when you do which i have miss parts of a convo it gets annoying.

my suggestion to you all would be, grow up and stop ignoring people. i mean for god sake, first people complained because they were getting offended by certain other peoples posts. at that stage the admin's took it upon themselves to add an ignore feature to the sight so that you didn't have to read those posts. so instead of sensibly using the feature to filter out perhaps just one or two anoying users now what do we have? a load of people wingeing that they are missing public posts by the very people that they have previously blocked for that very reason! can't any of you realise how laughable that sounds?

if your not adult enough to accept the fact that sometimes people will say and do things that annoy you and deal with it, then that's your problem. you either ignore other users or you don't. but cut the bull shit out about only half ignoring them so that you see some things they say but not others.

at this rate you'll be asking that you can ignore certain peoples posts at certain times of the day in case they might have been drinking in the evening or something. or here's a good one. why not request that you can ignore all posts with the letter "D" in them just in case it is used in the word dick!

of course i'm well aware that this post is more likely to get me on more ignore lists than actually bring about a sudden and miraculous bout of commonsense but hey, it was worth a try.

and, just to add to dan's post here, if you decide to read the boards without signing into the zone, then you can read everyone's post anyway, so if you still wish to ignore, and yet need to see the thread, use your head, and do it that way. I'm certain that's how Goblin ge3ts his kicks.
